To Those Who Think the Idea of Dead Asians is Funny,

March 15, 2011 at 6:43 pm (Daily Headaches and Rage Inducers) (, , , , , )

Dear Gilbert Gottfried (annoyingly unfunny comedian); Cappie Pondexter (illiterate WNBA player); Dan Turner (bigoted Haley Barbour posse member); Alexandra Wallace (stripper-looking UCLA student); and 50 Cent (nancy-pants rapper),

We just wanted to chime in and thank you for your high-larious jokes and crazy-ass tweets, as well as your web-cam lectures on why the Japanese are so totally lame and fun to belittle – especially while the country of Japan is going through an unholy trifecta of earthquakes, tsunamis, and nuclear meltdowns.

You five “personalities” are spot-on with your cruel jabs and insensitive comments; it’s exactly what all of us who are not suffering needed right now.

Normally, we try to keep our inappropriate comments to lighter stuff like assassinations, the Holocaust, gang-violence, illegal sex-trades, and slavery, but you funny-bunnies showing such a humorous moral disconnect to the catastrophic events in Japan is truly top-tier entertainment.

Nice work,

So unbe eff’n lievable, those “funny” remarks.

So from-the-bottom-of-my-heart-right-on, this comment. Thank you for that.

Well, ignorance is bliss. This is why they are the only people laughing or out of work.

Can’t buy class or get lessons at UCLA. People from Mississippi are special anyway.

You forgot Larry Kudlow. I wonder why.

    • jdrourke said,

Honest mistake. I’d forgotten what Kudlow had said on CNBC. He is also a giant clown…

      Thanks!

50cent joked about LA white boys being crazy enough to try to go surfing in the waves post-tsunami. He was right too, some idiots did try!! Police kicked them out of the beaches that were closed because of the danger of strong waves.
People just reacted out of proportion thinking his comment was about Japan.

The Aflac guy is a huge jerk and I don’t know about the other ones, but at least in 50cent’s case people are blowing this out of proportion, he didn’t say actually cruel things.

The worst 50cent said was that he had hoes in LA, Hawaii and Japan. It was stupid, but it was nowhere near what the other guy said. And 50cent was also talking about praying for the people who lost loved ones, so he wasn’t mean-spirited.

I hate rap, but I hate even more to see people get burned at stake for something blown out of proportion.

    • jdrourke said,

      Ann, thanks for checking in.

Yeah, my beef with 50 is the jokes about the beaches; it’s too soon to make light of this when people are literally fighting for their lives.

      Timing is everything.

I don’t think 50 Cent is an evil cat, just (like we all do at times) dumb and insensitive about such a horrific situation.

      Peace.

    • dcmartin said,

Um, Ann – people did NOT mistake his comments about getting his hoes out of Japan before they all floated away, shortly after the crazy white boys surfing the tsunami tweet.
“Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe’s from LA,Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol.”

      Just so you know.

Don’t forget that bloated idiot Rush Limbaugh. He’s giving the Japanese people shit for recycling and behaving like responsible people.

You know if fat Rush was there, he’d be hording all the oxycontin and food… ha, ha!!

Keep up the good stuff, my man.

    • jdrourke said,

Great point about Rush, Malcolm! Rush has always been cowardly in his attacks of people, but this is even lower than his usual bullshit.

Don’t forget Glenn Beck. He has come out with some crap about divine retribution for “something” we are all doing wrong, & how we’d better get on board with the 10 commandments. There’s also that dumbass Tamtampamela who posted a video on youtube about how wonderful it is that god is showing his wrath & “shaking up” Japan. She posted a subsequent video claiming she was being satirical, but stated no remorse for her behavior.
Too many idiots on the Internet!

    • jdrourke said,

Absolutely! Much like Rush Limbaugh (and the goofs in the blog), Glenn Beck has shown his true anti-Christian (hell, anti-humanity!) colours. He has also reminded people what a complete jackass he is.

Keep checking in and sounding off. As for too many idiots on The Tubes, I agree – even if I’m one of em some of the time…

People need to stop getting so uptight about all of this stuff… What Gottfried said was stereotypical of his type of comedy. Whether you agree with it or not is your schtik. I won’t force you to agree with me, but I think he’s absolutely hilarious. What he said was funny, too, if you don’t take it the wrong way! All he was doing was making a joke. Don’t get so upset about a joke if you can’t handle it.

    • jdrourke said,

No, I do agree with you for the most part about Gottfried. That’s his thing, pushing the envelope when others aren’t prepared to. But, while people are still fighting for their lives, you gotta wait. If you do go ahead with the jokes, then you gotta take what comes of it. That’s just my opinion on this particular subject.

Please keep checking in and sounding off, Ethan. Good to have you here…

If a comic says something and it isn’t funny, is it still a joke? Really, where is the humor in real-time mass death and destruction? Too hip for me.
